With regards to this post, I'd say that the entire plot was in fact, born from a certain incident a few years back. This wasn't supposed to be the plot of "Operation: Cloudbreak" that I was planning to write before. I can't recall the exact unexpected incident that made me change the plot of the story. But right now, I'm just glad that it made me decide to do the change because I like this version of the story better than the initial one. Anyway, the major change there actually had something to do with Hyon-jun and Re-na right in the middle of the battle and about their fire powers.

Before the day ends, I'd better post something. And yes, it's about a romantic snippet of some sort.
.
Well, this story does have romance and various couples/pairings are to be featured here. But I still chose to focus on the Fire Pair, as I know that establishing a relationship for these two when they were sort of forced to defeat each other at the end of their mission as Cloudbreakers is a little hard. But hey, something could happen, right?
.
The scene is a simple one — or at least I made it simple for now. At least this was from the time before Hyon-jun would have to make a decision with regards to Re-na.

The facts that I put here for the 6 Cloudbreakers have one thing in common — I stated the names of their inherent weapons. I originally didn't have this concept for the Korean version of Power Casters. I stated it first in the drafts that I have for the European version. They're sentient weapons  that have the ability to choose its master it would deem worthy of possessing it. It's not usual for the inherent weapons to be passed on from one member of the family to the other. But the power of the weapons that were passed on because of blood relations was said to be triple than the ones that came from a different source. No Power Caster can defy the choice that the weapons made about the master that would inherit and use them. Out of the 6 Cloudbreakers, only Jae-hwa and Ae-ri received their respective inherent weapons from people that didn't come from any member of their families.

Here are the character bio of the three characters I featured for this day. This features the female MC, male MC and the boss. By far, they're the ones I'm truly familiar with, to be honest. 😁✌️😁✌️

My post in which I actually used spirit animals as I was debating what to use as symbolism for the Cloudbreakers. There wasn't a specific animal that applies as the main symbol of the team, to be honest. So I ended up with spirit animals to be the symbol for each of them, specifically their major trait that can appear mostly later in the series. And yes, I included everyone in the Cloudbreakers team.
.
⚜️Bear for Re-na
⚜️Hawk for Hyon-jun
⚜️Dolphin for Ji-hun
⚜️Dragonfly for Ye-seul
⚜️Raccoon for Jae-hwa
⚜️Swan for Ae-ri
.
As for each of the interpretation, I think I'll let the story explain that sooner or later. 😁✌️😁✌️

For today's challenge that asked about what is the worst job my MC had or could ever have, it's corporate jobs. Not that she hated it. But for Re-na, corporate jobs actually reminded her of her murdered mother and the restrictions it could impose on her in finding the one who took the life of the person who truly believed in her. So it's more on the mindset and the emotional attachment that her mother had about the job rather than the actual job's workloads itself that made Re-na thinks it's a worst job she could ever have.

As for the post, the fictional character I immediately thought about that fits the prompt, which was about which MC would have brunch with a fictional character, was Shadowhunters' Clary Fray. I just thought it would be fascinating for Re-na and Clary to have such interaction at some point.

For today's post for the challenge, I would say that these two need the hug more than anyone. Even their boss Ra Ji-tae would think so. Re-na shielded her heart when her mother was killed in front of her and even the spirit of her great-grand-uncle Chon Hae-il told her that it was the right thing to do at the moment. Hyon-jun was hell-bent in defying his father and placing his destiny onto his own hands as his mother would want him to do before a Black Cloud Vessel murdered her.
.
The Fire Pair (as I'd like to call them) had shut their hearts away as they continue to do their mission laid out to them as the Cloudbreakers. Doing so, however, prevented them from fully expressing their true feelings and unleashing the pain they've been keeping in their hearts.

I draw out inspiration from almost everything I watch and read. I don't go out that often, even before this quarantine started. So I'm almost like a hermit in my own home. Or not? Anyway, for this particular story, it's these people who started the idea in my mind. They became my muse and my reason not to let go of this story. Though "Operation: Cloudbreak" only used Kriesha Chu and Jin (BTS) as my visual inspirations, I also ended up expanding the series where this story started. So each member of BTS will be used as visual inspirations in the next Korean-themed "Power Casters" stories. There are also Japanese-themed, Filipino-themed and Western-themed stories in the "Power Casters" series, that's why I was specific that "Operation: Cloudbreak" is Korean-themed.

There are, in fact, two major prophecies mentioned in "Operation: Cloudbreak". It's these two prophecies that Ra Ji-tae used to decide to form a team that will at least defy it from totally putting the country in annihilation by the Black Cloud Vessels. He used one of these major prophecies to seek out someone from the Red Fire Caster faction who could fulfill it. He learned about the Red Fire Caster named Nae Hyon-jun. But before he was able to do so, he discovered something about the last White Fire Caster who was believed to have died 80 years prior. Ji-tae's search for the truth about it led him to find Elena Grace Chon (given the shorter name Chon Re-na) and eventually recruit her to become a part of the Cloudbreakers team. This made him realize that in order to end the long feud between the White Power Casters and the Red Fire Casters, he would need both Hyon-jun and Re-na to fulfill the prophecy with regards to that. Of course, they all knew it's going to be a dangerous mission, and one of them might die from doing so. It was said to be the price of defying what was in the prophecy. Question is: could they defy the prophesied death, as well? Or will the cycle continue?

Favorite OC ship

There are actually 4 OC pairs existing in this WIP, but the ones I've really taken a liking would be the Fire Pair. Why fire? Because of their powers. Both Hyon-jun and Re-na manipulates the power of fire. But Hyon-jun is a Red Fire Caster while Re-na is a White Fire Caster (which she only discovered as she arrived in South Korea and encountered the spirit of her great-grand-uncle Chon Hae-il). With that in mind, they both knew they were up against a bigger hill knowing that both factions of Fire Power Casters were in each other's necks for centuries. And so they tried to keep whatever feelings they had for each other to themselves. But Hyon-jun had always been known to fearlessly defy his faction leader father, with the final straw accepting the fate that Ra Ji-tae had laid out for him in order to end the war between the two Fire Power Caster factions once and for all.

A BrOTP

Though Re-na and Jae-hwa first met on the day the Cloudbreaker recruits were introduced, they become quick friends and almost inseparable. Regardless of the disagreement between Power Casters that Re-na knew nothing about since she didn't actually grow up in South Korea, Jae-hwa made sure that it won't affect their mission and their newfound friendship. Of course, three people were actually reading that friendship a bit different from how it was supposed to be.

Share a snippet story challenge!

My WIP right now doesn't really have proper page numbers as they only contained scenarios written on several papers. Out of all the scenarios I've written for this story, for some reason, I ended up choosing this particular part of one of the scenes I wrote before. 😁✌️😁✌️

What is your MC's darkest memory?

Re-na could never forget the day her mother was killed in front of her. Her heart become filled with nothing but the desire to discover the reason why it happened, thus isolating herself from the others. As soon as she knew it was the time to fulfill it, finding the one who killed her had been one of her biggest reasons why she decided to leave the comfort of her life and travel.

Hello! So here I go combining prompts from two challenges since I'll only be referring to one MC/OC here.
.
.
→Would your MC keep a secret or tell all?
.
⚜️Keep it, preferably. At least on Re-na's part since she also have secrets of her own that she didn't want mentioning or anyone finding out unless she intended it to be discovered.
.
.
→Main OC
.
⚜️Though I did mention six main OCs, the story would be told mostly in Elena Grace Chon's POV. She was a travel blogger that lived most of her life in the Philippines before deciding to travel the world and become a blogger about it. But one other reason why she decided to go from one place to another was to find out why she actually possessed the power to manipulate white fire. Until she reached South Korea where she was nicknamed Re-na and met two people whom she realized was holding the key to revealing something powerful enough to change her life, either for better or for worse.
