Our Memory Of The Dawn 13 (Final) - Until We Meet Again

"Do they really have to be so noisy? I know it's lunchtime, but heck? They're all acting like a bunch of imbeciles that had just escaped a sanitorium or something."

Amy nearly choked while trying to hold her laughter at Lisa's comment. Both of them were currently in the cafeteria and having lunch when a group of boys began shouting and acting rowdy that the lunch lady turned on her dragon mode once again just to shut them up.

At that point, she realized that she was indeed back to her own world. This was the world where she belonged. Or at least, that was what she should be feeling.

Our Memory Of The Dawn 12 - Never Want To Forget

The sun was up already by the time Amy woke up from a night's sleep. It was strange, but she was able to get some sleep even with her emotions in chaos just the other night.

Or should she thank Edmund for that?

Amy couldn't help smiling at the thought of what happened last night. Yes, it was emotional. That was a given. But she also felt… relieved, for some reason.

Could it be that… because she knew that it doesn't really end here in Narnia? It was a weird thought, but she chose not to pay attention to it.

With a sigh, Amy entered the guest room she had used. Only to be surprised to see Edmund by the study table.

Wait… why was he looking at her adventure journal?

Our Memory Of The Dawn 11 - Just Like This

One thing led to another and the next time Amy finally realized what had just happened, both Narnians and Telmarines were in harmony. That day, the Narnians were celebrating the victory of the war. Not long after, Caspian was crowned as the king.

All the way, Amy decided to just watch everything unfold in front of her as she continued to remain in the background. Then again, not many people liked what she was doing. And to think she had contributed to a lot of things that led to the victory of the Narnians. Especially in terms of medical assistance.

At least, Caspian had told her that when the celebration finally died down.

Our Memory Of The Dawn 10 - Live And Return

"You sure know how to hide well, little lady."

Amy could only stare wide-eyed at the Telmarine soldier pointing a sword to her face. What in the world? How did they manage to find her there?

But she knew she didn't have to show to the soldier in front of her and also to the other two who were restraining her horse that she was starting to panic. There was no reason for them to know that.

"Good for you for finding me. Not many idiots can do that."

Okay. It might have been a bad idea to rile the soldiers up like that. But she really wanted to get out of there and head to where Edmund and the rest of the Narnians were. She didn't have any time to deal with even more nonsense than this battle.

Our Memory Of The Dawn 9 - Will Be Alright

Even when Amy knew she left the How earlier than planned, she still wasn't sure if she was safe and no one was following her. This could be a good thing, but it didn't mean that she should be complacent about the whole thing.

Because of that thought, she urged the horse to gallop faster for her to reach her destination. It would still be a challenge for her to look for the exact location since the land must have changed dramatically over the thousand years that the Kings and Queens had disappeared. Then again, she had to trust her instinct.

The very same instinct that Grandfire had seen in her when she became the Dawn Queen.

Our Memory Of The Dawn 8 - Make It Work Out

It has been a while since the rest of the Narnians saw what Amy and Edmund had seen while they were at the top of the How. Edmund even had to go back inside to call on his brother and inform him of the Telmarines' arrival near the How. Numbers alone, they were clearly outnumbered. Not to mention, the weapons they brought to the site that would surely put the rest of them to a disadvantage.

But this was clearly not the time for them to falter. They've made it this far. This was a war that they clearly had to win to finally free the Narnians once and for all.

After watching that display of arrival, the Narnians — with Peter's permission — decided to send out an envoy to deliver a message to King Miraz with regards to a proposed duel with the High King Peter himself. The whole time, Amy had only listened to the discussion and didn't voice out any of her thoughts about the proposal. But she knew that this was the only way they could acquire what they wanted personally. If worse comes to worst, of course, they had to prepare themselves for an all-out war.

Our Memory Of The Dawn 7 - You Opened My Eyes

Though she didn't create an argument over Peter's decision to proceed with the raid, Amy stood by her decision to remain in Aslan's How. Her reason? No one knew what the enemy was planning, so it was for the best that she stayed and protect the Narnians that would be left there.

Edmund was just looking at her, though. But she knew he could tell that she had already made her point across. And she was thankful that the Just King didn't force her to do anything at all. Then again, perhaps she knew he couldn't convince her to do otherwise. She didn't attend the meeting. Instead, she continued sorting out the medicinal herbs and helped the other Narnians prepare to head out.

As much as possible, Amy didn't want to cross paths with Peter while she was almost fuming in anger. And fate seemed to be in her favor. She was done setting up the saddles and armors on both the centaur and the griffin beside her when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned rashly, only to be surprised to see Edmund standing behind her.

Our Memory Of The Dawn 6 - A Reason To Smile

Amy didn't think she'd be able to startle Edmund like that when what she only did was to ask a question. There was nothing wrong with that, right? Unless, something about her question had resulted to the young king getting surprised like that.

"Uh..."

But it seemed that Edmund didn't have to answer verbally, after all. Not when she saw what had dropped on the floor when she asked the question.

"Ah... That's my adventure journal."

Okay, it might be weird for her to react casually like that. Especially when she just saw someone touching one of her personal belongings.

Our Memory Of The Dawn 5 - Here With You

Things were proceeding greatly with the preparations for the war with the Telmarines. At least, Amy was thinking that way. But for the past few days, there was something that she was quite sure won't go the way she wanted it to.

Dealing with Peter's temper. She did notice that the High King seemed to have lost his cool at some point that arguing or even debating with him would be pointless. She couldn't quite place it, but something bad would happen if this would keep up.

Then again, it wasn't like she had any right to point out something like that to the High King himself when his siblings couldn't even reason with him. Especially Lucy who truly believed that they had to find Aslan in order for the Narnians to end the war and save that world before the battle could even start. But even if both of them were considered part of the royalty and had the same standing within the royal court, Amy could feel that reasoning out with a confused and frustrated King Peter would only lead to an argument that she'd rather not face.

Our Memory Of The Dawn 4 - The Light To Reach Your Heart

It might have been the start of a crazy day for Amy. But it had also been a game changer for her, as well. At least, game changer in terms of her usual routine. Not just on Earth, but also in Narnia.

Amy still couldn't look directly for longer than 30 seconds at Edmund as her mind couldn't help recalling the events of their first meeting earlier that morning. She wasn't sure if the Pevensie sisters knew what happened as they were the ones who brought her breakfast. But at the moment, if in case they weren't aware, then she had no plans of mentioning anything.

At least, just until she could feel herself ready to tell the details.

Our Memory Of The Dawn 3 - Able To Meet You

It was dawn once again. Amy lost count ー for now ー as to how many days she'd been here in Narnia. But she wasn't exactly counting as her days had always been busy with helping the Narnians with all that was needed for the battle against the Telmarines.

A battle that she had a feeling would be something hard for Prince Caspian. But this was a battle that was needed to happen. It had been so long since Narnia was living peacefully. Pulling out the source of the chaos ー at least the biggest part of it ー was something that was needed to be done.

Like what she had done for many days now, she woke up early despite sleeping late due to getting busy with other things. Or should she say, worrying about other things? Yes, getting worried had always been a part of her, she guessed. It wasn't something that she could easily remove from her system.

But then again, who was she fooling?

Our Memory Of The Dawn 2 - With Just The Same Feeling

Amy could only let out a heavy sigh after a Narnian soldier confirmed to her that a Telmarine soldier she shot with one of her arrows was dead. It was something she'd do most of the time, even during the time she reigned here in Narnia. But she knew she had to do something, especially when she could feel that something or someone would threaten to destroy what was left of her second home.

"Are you alright, Your Majesty?"

That question coming from a faun standing beside her was enough to snap Amy out of her reverie.

She only nodded since, for some reason, she couldn't find her voice to even utter a proper response. To be honest, the current situation was something she still couldn't fully accept.

Our Memory Of The Dawn 1 - Just Once More

"You're spacing out again."

Those words distracted Amy from her musings while she stared outside the window of the library where she stayed after her class that day. Yes, she spent her afternoon like thatーin such a boring way.

Or at least most people thought of it like that. But it was her way of recalling that memory. Ten months since that amazing adventure she had in a mystical world called Narnia. She never asked to be anything extraordinary as she still loved the ordinary life she had lived so far. But in Narnia, it wasn't the case at all.
