Riya was breathing heavily after throwing those energy blades to merge with Yusuke and Hiei's attacks. She did that upon sensing the wielders' deaths that undoubtedly crushed her but she tried to remain strong for their sake. Gripping the cross-tipped staff tighter, Riya flew a few meters towards the spot on the sky just above the mourning group. So far, the gang hadn't sensed her presence yet and she wasn't planning to for now. In order to do that, Riya raised her staff- the same staff Carissa was using and carrying before- to the sky.
"Ethereal light, grant them the field of healing and protection," she uttered and the tip of the staff started crackling with energy. Afterwards, she swung it down towards the gang.
A sigil with 8-pointed star in it and colored silver appeared beneath the group which surprised them. Before they could react, a translucent white dome surrounded them in a flash. The sigil disappeared as soon as the group were healed inside the dome. Riya heaved a sigh after that.
"That should keep them safe for a while," she said before eyeing the villain who was still shrieking in pain. "We better get started."
"On what, Riya-ojousama?" Carissa asked as she flew over beside Riya.
Riya smiled. "Reviving them, of course. We need all the help we can get to finish this war once and for all."
"Does that mean you have to borrow the powers of the remaining two weapons?" Carissa inquired. Riya nodded before she reverted her gaze to the corpse of the five wielders suspended on different ice trees, pillars and tentacles.
"I'm sorry, everyone. I came too late. Don't worry, I'll remove you from there as soon as I can," Riya said softly but determined. "But before that..."
With that, she raised her staff once more and then it glowed. Hundreds of tiny, almost dot-like glowing yellow orbs streamed towards the tip of the staff as it crackled with energy, eventually formed two globes of compressed energy as it continued to surge in a steady pace. For a few moments or so, the orbs gathered around the two yellow globes until all of it were absorbed. Both globes crackled with electricity.
"Dual..."
Riya squinted at the enemy as the globes intensified and it was only a matter of time before she released it.
"...Spirit Thunder..."
The two orbs started breaking apart. The staff's tip swung towards Erithea like a compass needle seeking north.
"Breaker!"
Two yellow-colored beams released by each of the orbs headed right towards Erithea who appeared to have not anticipated the incoming attack. In return, the enemuy failed to defend herself before she could even regenerate her arms. The beams only injured Erithea but it was more than enough to destroy the seal that was keeping her powers in a confined form- in a humanoid form, to be exact- and weakened her extensively. Erithea's regenerative capability seemed to have only progressed upon doing that and it was only a matter of minutes before Erithea show up again- and in a new, even more dangerous form of creature, at that. Erithea was temporarily confined in a dark-colored sphere in order for Riya to prevent the leaking energy to destroy the city even further.
Riya couldn't help but to heave a heavy sigh after that.
"I've managed to intercept Erithea's progressive regeneration for several minutes, Riya-ojousama. I hope that would give you enough time to do what you could for the others," Carissa said as she flew over to Riya.
"Don't worry. That's already plenty of time." And then Riya closed her eyes, both hands' grip tightened on her battle staff.
It went like that for a few seconds and then she spoke. "Come to me... My knights."
With that said, five glowing spherical crystals in different colors- the colors of the five wielders' aura- surrounded Riya, followed by the glow surrounding the dead wielders' bodies in their respective colors that surprised the gang who was still inside the protective dome and couldn't get out. A few seconds later, the ice tree, ice pillars and tentacles that suspended the wielders into the air shattered all at the same time.
The spherical crystals surrounding Riya began moving, each of which headed towards the floating bodies of the wielders and entered inside their bodies. Soon after, the injuries that they had acquired started to heal. Even the damages done to their weapons and clothes were fixed and all the while, Yusuke and the others only watched the events happen in front of them.
"What the hell is going on?"
A few seconds later, they felt something but they couldn't make themselves believe at what they had discovered.
"Don't tell me... They're being revived?" Ren concluded disbelievingly. Nonetheless, he observed the situation further.
"If that's what's really happening, then who's reviving them?" Kuwabara asked.
"There's only one person capable of doing that besides Koenma" Kurama answered.
Yusuke frowned and thought about it before he spoke. "But the only person I could think of right now that has the ability to do such a thing is Carissa."
"...or Riya herself," Hiei added that made them confused and surprised at the same time.
"That's impossible! Riya-chan doesn't even have the power necessary for her to do that," Botan responded.
"You're wrong, Botan-san," Sei seriously said. "Have you forgotten about the Dragon Gem inside of her and what could it possibly do? In addition to that, the legend about the rise of the blue moon doesn't only talks about this war but it also talks about its purpose- to release some of the most destructive and at the same time, the strongest powers both known and unknown to the three realms. Riya-ojousama could use her Dragon Gem to revive those who had died because of this war."
No one said another word after that. But upon thinking about it, they figured out that Sei was right.
I guess this means you're the one who cast this dome and healed us, Riya, Kurama concluded in his thoughts. She never really cease to amaze me.
The event lasted for a few more seconds before the glow from each of the wielders' bodies died away. Each of them were gently laid on the tundra. The dome imstantly disappeared not long after, making the gang rush to the wielders' sides. Hiei placed his ear on Yumi's chest, near her heart, and listened to it. He was happy to find out that it was beating and her spectral energy had returned. Yusuke went to Keiko's side, Ren to Ayako's, Sei to Soujiro's, and Botan & Kuwabara to Yukari's side. One by one, the wielders fluttered their eyes open that made the gang happy as they helped them up.
"What happened? I thought we died from overusing our powers," Yumi inquired as she assessed herself by looking at her hands and to the other wielders.
"I know we did. So that means someone revived all five of us at the same time," Keiko said before Yusuke embraced her tight, afraid of letting her go and thinking that this was only a dream. "But at least we're back."
"You're right," Ayako agreed.
"Yeah. But who revived us?" Soujiro asked.
"I'm sorry I came late, guys!"
