50 Random Facts About Me

This was actually an old list of this topic that I found while going through some old notes that I have when I was in college. I was looking for old story drafts that I think I can use (or at least, I intend to) to write something new under a different pseudonym besides dreamcoloredgift on Wattpad. I'm also debating whether or not I should create a new Wattpad account just for that new pseudonym.

Anyway, here's the list that I have about me. I might put up a part two of this one since a lot had happened since the last time I wrote this list. Let's go! 😄✌️

1. My name is Florence Joyce A. Dongael. The A as my middle initial is actually Aragones.
2. I was born in August 30, 1991 at 11:53 PM. So that makes me a Virgo and having the Chinese zodiac sign of Goat/Sheep.
3. I'm a certified Baguio girl, since I was born and raised here in Baguio City.
4. I have lots of nicknames tha originated since I was a kid. But the most common is Joyce.
5. Eldest of the four girls.
6. I'm a Mama's girl... but not that much. I guess I could say I'm the least Mama's girl among us sisters.
7. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at a technical school called Baguio College of Technology.
8. The first award that I got during my school years would be the Most Loyal award when I was in Grade 1.
9. I'm already petite since I was young. And yes, even until now. It's like everything I eat doesn't have that much of an effect on me.
10. The usual awards I would get when I was in elementary would be the Best Behaved award.
11. I think I discovered my passion in writing when I was in Grade 4 when I got invited to join the Newspaper Club. But I remained clueless about it until I reached high school.
12. I was in Grade 3 when they made me join Mr. & Miss JCES. That was the first and last time I joined in such a contest. It was a money-raising activity in which they would rank the candidates by the amount of money raised. I can't remember the number of my rank but me and my partner at the time was given the title Mr. & Miss Wisdom.
13. I love writing stories and poems, which makes me a writer at heart. My forte would be romance and drama. But recently, I'm trying my hand in writing fantasy, action and adventure.
14. I don't usually take selfies or take videos of myself. Maybe I'm the only one in the family who doesn't like taking that much pictures of myself.
15. My childhood dreams were to be a singer, an actress, a doctor, or a lawyer. Aside from writing, I was wishing deep inside at the time (or maybe until now) that one of those dreams would come true.
16. I prefer expressing my thoughts, be it writing or speaking, in rather than in English.
17. I usually read and watch topics that have something to do with Ancient World History and Mythology such as that of the Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians.
18. A certified NBSB (No Boyfriend Since Birth). But I do have a lot of crushes. 😆😆
19. I don't like anything related to horror stories (paranormal and supernatural ones). That was why I don't like reading or watching horror stories since I don't like having it disturb my imagination.
20. I daydream a lot ー until now. And seriously speaking, it affects me big time.
21. I like having a walk-athon. What's that mean? I like walking a lot, especially in cool weather.
22. I actually wanted to take up MassComm (Mass Communication), a college course similar to that of Journalism. But we don't have the money to actually put me to a school that offers that, so I ended up taking IT instead.
23. I like sweets, particularly yema and chocolate.
24. I drink coffee 3-4 times a day.
25. I like the colors blue, black, and white. And those colors would usually fill up my closet. I guess I could add gray, as well.
26. I'm #TeamBahay (#TeamHouse) in almost everyday of my life. So, yeah, I didn't get to experience going to concerts and such.
27. I wasn't used to traveling alone outside of Baguio City. I'm scared in doing so.
28. I've been fascinated in Japanese culture since high school. I guess you could say anime and Japanese songs tha I've watched and heard respectively had influenced me.
29. I like listening to ballad songs more than pop songs. I guess this was one of the reasons as to why I like 80s and 90s songs ー at least the ballad and the classic ones.
30. I don't know how to swim. Even though I've been exposed to swimming pools before, I didn't get to learn how to swim.
31. Every year when August and December comes, I would always have colds.
32. I once got contracted with dengue when I was in Grade 1.
33. I actually dreamed of traveling to Japan one day.
34. I'm a silent AlDub fan, but it actually started getting hooked up about the pairing starting Day 10.
35. I wasn't truly active in social media before. But as much as possible, I check all of them.
36. I usually keep diaries and journals since high school. But I only got to salvage one out of all the diaries I had before.
37. I could get emotional, so I cry easily at the sad or dramatic (even happy) scenes I've watched and read.
38. One of the inspirations I used in writing romance stories was my first rejection and my unrequited first love during my high school days.
39. I like reading adventure stories like 39 Clues, Infinity Ring, and even Nancy Drew (though I guess this one would fall under Detective/Mystery stories).
40. I couldn't help looking at the night sky whenever I would go out at night. I like looking at the stars and look for possible patterns. Though I would usually spot Orion more than anything.
41. I watch Power Rangers and Super Sentai. But I prefer watching the original version of the Power Rangers, which is the shows within the Super Sentai franchise.
42. I like staying in my room more the whole day than go out.
43. I love chicken macaroni salad and it's been my favorite, especially the one that my mom would make. I would usually request for that when there's an occasion.
44. I tend to get sleepy. Even when I already slept longer than needed.
45. I want to learn sword-wielding, particularly kendo. Or if not, I'd like to learn achery for once.
46. I made a deadline to myself about finding a prospect husband. I said to myself that by the time I reach 28, I'm already married.
47. I never like Math at all. That's why I couldn't help feeling confused as to how I got a grade of 98 in this subject back in 3rd year high school. They even made me join in an Interschool and Division Math Quiz Bee in spite of the fact that I was sure it would be hard for me.
48. I usually write more at night.
49. I tend to talk to myself at lot.
50. I've always viewed myself as a plain Jane, a wallflower. 😥😕

So that's the first 50 facts. And now that it's already the last quarter of 2020, I could possibly write 50 more ー or more than 50. We'll see.

In any case, this is the selfie I just took today, after recording a video to be sent for my grandmother's birthday on the 25th.
