At the moment, the only ones left for me to watch in the meantime are 3 episodes of Gozyuger and also 3 episodes of From Old Country Bumpkin To Master Swordsman. That's still a lot for my brain that seems to settle having a short attention span that doesn't usually happen. But hey, I think I'd be able to get by. I just don't know when.
Shirohiyo: Reincarnated As A Neglected Noble Episode 7 — New characters appearing here and there in this episode. First, the guild's cook Fiore. Then another elf named Viktor and then the singer Maria Crowe. Oh, yeah. There was also the appearance of the second god who gave his blessings to Ageha — Igor. I really thought it would be a chaotic episode. Or maybe it was because of Regulus and his trantrums when Ageha left. That little one really was attached to him, huh? He got to buy his spices for his curry rice! Well, they still had more work to do in order for him to recreate that. And he even got invited for Maria's concert. In addition to that, Ageha got a new teacher — this time, focusing on music. The appearance of the god Igor was a hit unexpected, if I'm being honest. Even when I was reading this part in the web novel version.
Shirohiyo: Reincarnated As A Neglected Noble Episode 8 — More cuteness overload and also conversations for the future. Or should I say, getting ready to invest for Kikunoi's future with Ageha in the lead. Then again, there was only little that a five-year-old could do. There's this music school, food that would become Kikunoi's specialty food, and also an item that he would create using the loom that was given to Princess Hyakka a long time ago. And one reminder of Igor to Ageha was to never do things alone and don't hesitate to ask for help from others. At this point, Ageha looked like he was slightly failing in this aspect. He still wasn't used to seeing Regulus get hurt from his swordsmanship training with Genzo. I could only laugh at his expressions about this and also Viktor's enthusiasm about the music school and musical. It's just a light episode and I'm loving it. This provides the contrast to the other shows I've been watching alongside this anime.
The Too-Perfect Saint Episode 8 — This has a lot of twists and more annoying Prince Julius to deal with. Now Prince Fernand is taking the first step to actually ousting his brother and his supporters before the kingdom completely falls because of his idiotic decisions. One step at a time, but it looked like it was enough to exhaust Mia out. That last guy who showed up to her — seemed like he would be changing sides. At least, that's what I think. But the appearance of the aunt Hildegarde who really looked like Philia was something I thought was just a simple apperance at first. Even when I was reading this part in the light novel before seeing this episode, that truth about her true relationship with Philia was something I never thought existed. Then again, it made sense considering the way the parents treated Philia like some disposable item even she was the one who protected Girtonia. Even the people of the kingdom treated her the same way. Even if it was for the sake of revenge, Hildegarde still did what Philia had asked her to do — and it was to make sure that Mia would be safe from all of the repurcussions of her plan to remove Prince Julius from power. The one thing that made it slightly light for me was the scene with Grace and her sisters. And also the supposed rivalry that the eldest sister felt for Philia. That was funny, and even the other sisters felt the same way. But at least the ritual to protect the entire continent in underway. That's a good thing.
The Too-Perfect Saint Episode 9 — Everything that Mia had been preparing herself ever since learning the truth about Philia's sudden departure from Girtonia culminated to this one event of betraying the prince who became the source of it all. Of course, I couldn't help noticing a few things as I recall what I've read in the light novel and watching this episode. Is it me or did they merge the events of Volume 1 and 2 to this season of this anime? I know I haven't read the second volume of the light novel version. But I'm pretty sure that the two characters from the church appeared there. Then again, I think I should read that some time just so I could connect the dots somehow. And then the events where the poison meant to kill the crown prince. It was still a party. But in the light novel, it was in the food served to the crown prince as they were in a banquet. While in the anime, it was in a glass of wine. Despite the differences in some aspect, the exposing of the crime remained the same. Especially when the king also appeared, thanks to Philia's medicine that they were able to recreate. Now the real battle would start to defend the kingdom after this.
But for now, let me write down my comments on 2 episodes of both Shirohiyo and The Too-Perfect Saint. Let's go!
