the last sky of the earth - introduction to volume 2

Here we are again... as we are about to head out on another battle of our lives. At least, that's what I thought when I learned that the enemies' side had suffered a brand new casualty since the attack.

And now I know, we have to keep our guard up even more. More lives now depended on us... for us to protect. More secrets are about to be uncovered... for us to accept. More clues are about to be discovered... for us to use as a way to fulfill our respective missions.

I don't know how long this battle will take. I don't know how long my body will be able to handle everything. I don't know if I could still make it so I could fulfill my promise to my slain family. I haven't reached the day of the succession yet and the fear building up steadily inside of me now begins to consume me.

But here's what I know now.

The revelations awaiting us will cut open that path I've been looking for. The memories that propelled us to fight this hard will be our power to resist giving in to defeat. We could lose something along the way. We could lose someone that might drive our sanity over the edge. But I've chosen to continue fighting. We've lost enough. We've lost too much.

Now is the time that we reclaim the honor they've trampled on and the justice that we've been seeking for a long time. We won't give up until we finally acquire the answers that have eluded us.

I know that the 12 Knights of the Sky will help me make it happen.

For I have a duty to fulfill before I am to be appointed as the Shrouded Flowers' next leader.
