This is crazy, not gonna lie. So you could say that this is one of the final battles for this anime. At least, that's what I was aware of, if I were to base it on what I read at the web novel version. I mean, saving Jamie from the Achromatic Darkness after nearly escaping death, so to speak, is definitely a mission worth considering since she did what she could to save Yuke and the other Clover members from Simon's insanity. Of course, there were also other stuff worth considering, especially when they finally realized the true nature of that particular dungeon. Now they had to enter it one last time before the guild finally seal it to rescue Jamie. But before that, it was so satisfying to watch Rain beat up Besio and place the collar on him. And of course, that last spell that Yuke put on that fatty annoying jerk just to make sure he would stay away from Rain.
The one thing that I noticed about this anime version was the amount of (possibly) gory details that were present in the web novel, but not in this version. Especially about the part where Simon was basically a zombie with some of his internal organs coming out and stuff. Crazy, right? But yes, it was more gruesome in the web novel. Perhaps it was because of the way it was described that the production had to consider some stuff to put in the anime version, just to be on the safe side, so to speak.
The one about Yuke firing Prismatic Missile on Simon was probably the turning point of this, in both versions. But if I have to say so myself, Yuke's anger on the web novel was more intense than how it was shown in the anime. I mean, he fired the most powerful (if not the most complete) version of that spell not only because of the dark magic he received by becoming Persephone's disciple or something, but he said in the novel that it was because he never had enough negative emotions in him to unleash that spell's full power. But when he saw what Simon did to Jamie and his attempt to further hurt the other Clover members, all Yuke could see was murder. His desire to really kill Simon for all that he did was what fueled Prismatic Missile. I think that was the most terrible punishment that he could ever give to one of the most horrible people to ever exist. Seriously. And since Simon was already an undead, he would have to deal with the spell's effects for eternity. Sucks for him. Not to mention, attacks from many Shadow Stalkers would definitely intensify his sufferings in that dungeon. Really crazy.
