Short Thoughts On #RomanceClass Interview (Ana Tejano – Author Of “Fall Like Rain”)

So this episode of the podcast was a little different. Not to mention that it took me more than a week to write something about this particular episode. But since it’s a special episode and still a part of the Romance Class podcast, I might as well write my thoughts about this. Just to be fair. Hehe!

One thing I noticed, though, was Ana’s voice. I don’t know if she was a little sick during the interview or something else. But I noticed that her voice was somewhat cracked, similar to a person who’s having a slight throat problem. Of course, maybe that’s just me. And yet I focused more on listening to her answering the questions thrown at her. The one I liked the most was when she answered the question about Rachel and Gio’s delivery of the excerpt. I mean, I really thought of the same way. I also like the two actors’ delivery of the lines and narrations. Seriously, I agree with her when she said that it’s really a different feeling when these two read the excerpt of the book. Their narration made the story even more beautiful when you imagine it and I could really see the scenes came alive—at least in my mind. It’s clearer than just how I read a book.

At that point, she said that Rain (female lead in “Fall Like Rain”) was an over thinker. I didn’t know that. Well, that’s because I haven’t read the book yet. And I came into thinking. Am I an over thinker, as well? I asked that when I thought about Rain being in the friend zone. Trust me, I’ve been there a lot of times during high school. And yet, I’ve been able to forget about the feeling by now. I don’t know. Maybe it’s because of the result of mainly focusing on other priorities instead of having the guy I like who had me in the zone finally notice me as someone more than a friend.

Yup, hearing the excerpt of Ana’s book made me recall the past and realize what I had done before. Of course, now that it came to this, I realized that I’m also an over thinker. But more on the ideas I want to put on paper. I guess I put my experience of being in the friend zone for so many times to good use, huh? After listening to this, it really made me want to pursue my writing antics even more. Even so about pursuing the idea of self-publishing my own English story (romance, of course). But then I have a lot of things to consider before doing that. First and the priority (at least for me aside from a finished, edited, and proofread manuscript) would be to open a bank account since I’m going to try publishing it digitally and bank account is one thing I don’t have right now, besides money, of course. Urgh! I hate it when I have problems regarding my important documents.

Of course, that would be a faraway dream of mine for now. I’ll still pursue it, don’t worry. Hearing more episodes of the Romance Class podcast made me really want to pursue it. I just need to find a way to settle this issue I have right now.

Anyway, if you want to listen to the interview, here’s the podcast below. Enjoy and happy romantic listening! (I really like this last line I’m putting. I’m not just sure if those who read this likes it the same way as I did, though. Hehe! :) )
