NOTE: This is the initial plan for the story which will be the third and final book of "The Last Sky Of The Earth" trilogy. Anyway, hindi ko pa naman naisusulat ito dahil wala pa nga ako sa kalahati ng Book 1. This is still in response to the post I made before (). And as usual, it might contain spoilers.
The third and final installment of "The Last Sky Of The earth" trilogy follows the succeeding adventures of 4 prestigious Japanese families who had sought refuge in the Philippines after the attack at the Shinomiya mansion in Kyoto more than 3 years prior. This time, it's not only the clans of the Shinomiya, the Azuraya, the Yumemiya, and the Miyuzaki who are recognized around the world after the deadly battle with ancient organization called the Black Thorns. Even the originally forgotten Yasunaga clan is steadily becoming recognized, as well. Just when they think that they can finally attain the peaceful lives they've always longed for, the news breaks out that Shingo is attacked!
The assault renders the doctor comatosed for an undetermined period of time. Hindi nila alam kung sino ang may gawa niyon kay Shingo. But before he lost consciousness, he manages to utter the words "Death Clover" and "Phantom". Initially, wala silang ideya kung ano ang tinutukoy ni Shingo. That is, until the word "Phantom" makes Kourin remember something with regards to the origin of her other persona's name—the name Rin Fujioka that she used in TLSOTE Book 1.
Agad na pinuntahan ni Kourin ang lugar kung saan naroon ang sikat ngunit tagong Aeraven Lake. Apparently, the said place is also the residence of someone she knew for a long time. His name is Jirou Fujioka—the vice-captain of the Phantom Knights' Wind Falcon Squad. They learn that the Phantom Knights has four divisions called squads consisting of people like Shingo—descendants of both Yasunaga and any clan among the Four Families.
The squads are: the Earth Tiger Squad with members consisting of descendants from the Yasunaga and the Shinomiya just like Shingo, the Fire Lion Squad which consists of descendants from the Yasunaga and the Azuraya, the Wind Falcon Squad with members having both Yasunaga and Yumemiya blood, and the Water Shark Squad having members emerging from both Yasunaga and Miyuzaki bloodline. Jirou happens to be from the Wind Falcon Squad, which means he is a descendant of a Yasunaga and a Yumemiya.
Sa tulong ni Jirou, nagawang iparating ni Kourin ang huling sinabi ni Shngo bago ito mawalan ng malay. Makoto Yanai, the leader of the Phantom Knights and Shingo's maternal cousin, promised to provide help as long as the other clans will get out of the way.
Hindi maintindihan ng iba ang dahilan ng cold treatment ni makoto kay Kourin. Until Riel tells them the bitter past between the five clans and the Phantom Knights. The previous leaders of the Four Families and even that of the Yasunaga clan didn't recognize the Phantom Knights are part of their clans in any way. They treated them as outcasts, kaya naman hindi na nakakapagtaka ang pinagmulan ng galit ni Makoto sa kanila. Pero kapansin-pansin na iilan lang sa Phantom Knights ang may ganoong klase ng resentment. It appears that only the captains of each squad have that kind of resentment towards the Four Families and the Yasunaga clan. But Kaede said that only Seiichi and Kourin can change that. Of course, the other clan leaders and the Yasunaga clan's branch pillar will support them at all cost.
Gaya nga ng nasabi ni Riel, iilan lang sa Phantom Knights ang may galit sa kanila. Kourin is thankful na hindi kasama roon si Jirou. He and a few more members of the Phantom Knights explain to them the meaning behind Shingo's other words—"Death Clover". Sinabi nito na isa iyong organization na gaya ng Phantom Knights ay binubuo ng four squads, namely Arthra, Axel, Crossfire, and Logia. Guided by three people with codenames Bardiche, Excelion, and Linker who formed the organization's Triangle, their agenda is to destroy the lives of anyone with the title of "Bridge". It is a term used to distinguish people belonging to both Yasunaga and any of the Four Families' bloodline—just like Shingo and the Phantom Knights. And it is siad that the "Bridges" are considered to be the ultimate key to the unification of the Yasunaga clan to that of the Four Families after 300 years. Kaya naman ganoon na lang ang pagtatago nina Jirou at ng iba pang Phantom Knights sa tunay nilang pagkakakilanlan.
On the other hand, the 12 Knights come across Raiden's discovery about a possible member of the Death Clover Organization who knew his dead friend Chizue Kajimoto. Nalaman ni Raiden iyon nang makaengkwentro niya ang isang lalaki sa puntod ni Chizue at humihingi ng tawad. The man even said that he failed to locate a certain man related to Chizue in the organization. The mysterious man and Raiden ends up having a sword duel but interrupted by a sudden earthquake. The man who only introduces himself as Arthra 3 left Raiden a baffling message: "When I find the man I'm looking for, I'll do what it takes to end the Phantom Knights' sufferings."
Most of them think of it was a declaration of war by a Death Clover member to those who protects the Phantom Knights. But Kourin feel something is off about it. Raiden and Seiichi didn't doubt the princess' suspicion that there is more to Arthra 3's words than what it seems to be. At napatunayan nila iyon nang makaengkwentro naman ni Reiko ang isa pang Death Clover member only known by the codename Axel 2. He left Reiko wounded but apologizes because as he says it, he is left with no choice.
Riya, Hiro, Marco, and Aki soon comes across a private online diary that once belonged to Chizue when she was still alive. The online diary provides the shocking answers they're looking for about Arthra 3 and Axel 2's identities—and the real purpose of the two men becoming members of the Death Clover.
Unfortunately, Linker—the commander of the Death Clover Organization—discovers those answers ahead of them and immediately ordered the two traitors' execution. Axel 2 manages to escape and head to the Yasunaga estate. Marco and Natsume found him already dying but still requested to see Raiden. Soon after his request is heeded, Axel 2 tells everything to Raiden—not leaving a single detail despite his deep wounds slowly taking his life. Raiden and Kourin promised to end Linker and the Death Clover and protect the Phantom Knights whatever happens.
Once more, they request the other squad captains' help but to no avail. Kourin's anger over the situation and Makoto's hardheadedness causes the other Phantom Knights to fully rethink about their true purpose towards the Four Families and the Yasunaga clan. Centuries-old letter from the original Bridge finally enlightens Makoto and the other squad captains. The letter has been long hidden in Riel's archive room as per the order of Seiichi's father should there comes a situation that the Phantom Knights hesitates to help the Four Families and the Yasunaga clan. Matapos niyon, sa tulong na rin ng gumaling nang si Shingo at Reiko, nagdesisyon na ang buong Phantom Knights na tulungan sina Kourin na pabagsakin nang tuluyan ang Death Clover Organization.
But before that, more information about the Death Clover Organization is revealed to them regarding its member courtesy of Arthra 3's hidden messsage in a software once developed and used by Tetsuya Kisaragi. Apparently, the organization was formed shortly after Lord Ryuuki Shinomiya's wedding to Rina Mikazuki—the Shinomiya siblings' parents. Kaya naman hindi na nakakapagtaka na pati si Kourin ay puntiryahin din ng Death Clover kung hindi lang dahil sa tulong nina Jirou, Hajime, Tsubasa, Akio, at Minoru. Seiichi and the branch pillars have also been targeted but managed to escape death thanks to the other Phantom Knights namely Hachiro, Renshu, Kazuhiko, Seiji, and Yamato who didn't have the squad captains' mindset about the Four Families and the Yasunaga clan. Those assassination attempts opened their eyes to the truth and their duty to protect each other and finally destroy the Death Clover Organization for good.
The battle is intense and without a doubt, hazardous. But they are all born and raised to deal with those kind of battles. The danger means nothing if it is to protect the people important to them. And so they will fight with all they've got for the sake of attaining the peaceful future that they've always wanted.
