May 2021 Wrap-Up

Man! What a hot May this has been. And I wasn't really glad about that at all. But at least, it started raining. It helped drop the temperature a bit, especially during night time. This month, however, had a lot of happenings ― at least in my life. Or not exactly my life, but of those around me who are a part of my life. Okay. It just got more confusing than usual.

For now, let's do a bit of a monthly wrap-up, shall we? This will also be a bit of a checking on what May goals have I managed to achieve. But I must say, they're not a lot. And I'm not sure if I should be glad with that or not.

By the way, I'm getting a new headset. Or should I say, earphones? Sometimes, I'm confusing the two, which could be annoying. In any case, this is my affirmation for tonight as the earphones that I'm using has started to malfunction. I just have to earn enough for me to buy that, of course. I was able to do it when I had to pay for the TIN ID. Why not do the same thing here? Right?

I'm writing a new blog entry which is going to be the last one for this month, as well. As you guessed it, it's going to be a monthly wrap-up again. I'm still thinking, however, if it's right that I set a goal this month.

Let's see...

✔ The only female dog we have ― Cassie ― gave birth to 4 female puppies on the 2nd day of the month. Ironically, she went into labor the whole day on May 1st (which was, as funny as it would sound, the celebration of Labor Day here in the Philippines). Yup. Two different "labor" happened on the same day.

✔ I got to answer five journal prompts this month, which was an achievement since my goal was to answer 3-10 prompts.

✔ Got to have the money I needed to pay for the processing of my TIN ID. Yup, not just half. But paid in full. I have to thank my father for that.

✔ Finally able to find "The Golden Compass" book, which was the only book I don't have on my collection of "His Dark Materials" trilogy.

✔ I only get to finish reading one story, which was posted on Wattpad, though. I still couldn't write a comment about it until now, however.

✔ I got to post 2 new topics on my blog that is not an SC entry, a Thought Catalog, or a journal prompt answer.

✔ The youngest of our dogs ― CafĂ© ― nearly got infected with CPV (canine parvovirus). Or at least according to the vet, it would almost lead to that had we brought him there later. So we were able to do something to save him in time.

✔ Watched the Thai adaptation of the Korean drama "Bring It On, Ghost!" I've been planning to watch it since it started airing, but didn't get a chance to do so. And now I finally did.

✔ I only got to post 2 story updates, sad to say. My goal was 3-7 parts. All I did most of the time was to contemplate and rewrite a lot of things.

Wow, I guess that's quite a lot for a hot month that I complain about. Even though some of my goals from last month didn't reach the quota that I set, I should be glad and happy that I got to achieve something, right? It's better than nothing.
