This is the short (and maybe a more detailed and spoiler-filled) profile I made for the original characters to appear in my new Kyo Kara Maoh fanfic titled “Beast Knights” that can be read in Fanfiction.Net and my Blogger account.

IMPORTANT PEOPLE FROM THE KINGDOM OF ESOVIA

Akiyama Mari / Lyall Corliss Amrein

• Wind and lightning arts practitioner
• She had the ability to determine one’s thoughts and pasts—no matter how distant—by touch. This also helps her read, speak, and understand any language regardless of her own knowledge about it.
• Art student at the local university
• Proficient in swordsmanship, mainly in Eastern style swordsmanship
• Revealed to be a member of the Central Aristocratic Family, the House of Amrein
• Last princess of the Kingdom of Esovia
• Prince Klaus’ younger sister
• Queen Roheis’ daughter
• As Mari, she was born with long and straight black hair in which she usually ties in a low ponytail using a white ribbon and black eyes.
• As Lyall, she was born with long silvery green hair and light blue eyes that was believed to have been inherited from her ancestor and Lord Chunho’s wife Lady Hyorin. In her normal disguise especially when she venture the human lands, she uses a glamouring spell that turns her hair light brown and without changes to her eye color.
• A descendant and had inherited the memories of one of the six legendary founders of the Kingdom of Esovia, the first Wind Tiger Knight Lady Hyorin of the Yi clan
• Her Beast Spirit was the White Tiger Of The Winds given the name Aeros
• The curse that her power bears, once it has taken effect, affects the passage of air from her throat and limits the oxygen in her lungs, giving her a hard time to breathe properly. This limits her combat time because of the air she gathers in her lungs as she rests only lasts for 30-45 minutes, similar to that of a scuba diver’s oxygen tank.

Natsukawa Chie / Nadja Laulen Hagelin

• Fire arts practitioner
• Music student at the local university
• Proficient in archery
• She has the ability to shapeshift into any form she desires, making her a perfect companion for Hanz during certain missions.
• Revealed to be a member of the Southern Aristocratic Family, the House of Hagelin
• As Chie, she was born with long sandy brown hair which she ties to a high ponytail and hazel eyes.
• As Nadja, she was born with long and wavy golden yellow hair and purple eyes which was believed to have been inherited from her ancestor Lord Namgi. In her normal disguise especially when she venture the human lands, she uses a glamouring spell that turns her hair silver and without changes to her eye color.
• A descendant and had inherited the memories of one of the six legendary founders of the Kingdom of Esovia, the first Fire Lion Knight Lord Namgi of the Han clan
• Her Beast Spirit was the Red Lion Of The Flames given the name Ragnis
• The curse that her power bears, once it has taken effect, affects the functions of her right leg, unabling her to walk properly as if something was making it heavy and diminishing her speed in combat. This only makes her rely on his precision to deliver shooting attacks from a single spot alone and evasion proved itself hard for her to do during combat.

Harusaki Rina / Heidi Ygevere Vluerona

• Water and ice arts practitioner
• Medical student at the local university
• Proficient in polearm weapon wielding, particularly a glaive
• She has the ability to use water as a catalyst for her healing skills, thanks to her knowledge in medicine and anatomy, besides creating copies of herself and her allies using water.
• Revealed to be a member of the Eastern Aristocratic Family, the House of Vluerona
• As Rina, she was born with long dark brown hair and chocolate brown eyes.
• As Heidi, she was born with long blue hair and blue green eyes which was believed to have been inherited from her ancestor Lady Jihae. In her normal disguise especially when she venture the human lands, she uses a glamouring spell that turns her hair light blue and without changes to her eye color.
• A descendant and had inherited the memories of one of the six legendary founders of the Kingdom of Esovia, the first Water Dragon Knight Lady Jihae of the Shim clan
• Her Beast Spirit was the Blue Dragon Of The Waters given the name Limu
• The curse that her power bears, once it has taken effect, affects the functions of both her eyes, rendering her blind. This makes her rely more on the “movement of the matters’ ripples” to determine the location of her enemies and even comrades during combat. The unique sound that each “ripples” produces allows her to determine which is which and who is who.

Klaus Elirch Amrein

• Light and darkness arts practitioner
• Current leader and a member of the Central Aristocratic Family, the House of Amrein
• Proficient in polearm weapon wielding, particularly a lance
• He has the ability to teleport himself and anything from one place to another no matter the distance, as long as the location is in the same world as where he’s currently at.
• Last prince of the Kingdom of Esovia
• Princess Lyall’s older brother
• Queen Roheis’ son
• He was born with mint green hair and same light blue eyes as Lyall. The hair color was believed to have been inherited from his ancestor and Lady Hyorin’s husband Lord Chunho. In his normal disguise especially when he venture the human lands which only happens rarely, he uses a glamouring spell that turns his hair dark green and without changes to his eye color.
• A descendant and had inherited the memories of the six legendary founders of the Kingdom of Esovia, the first Light Eagle Knight Lord Chunho of the Lee clan
• His Beast Spirit was the Yellow Eagle Of The Light given the name Sol
• The curse that his power bears, once it has taken effect, affects the flow of thoughts in his mind, giving him severe and unbearable migraine. This makes him rely on his “magical instincts” and his Beast Spirit’s directions during combat instead of analyzing the situation and strategizing like he usually do.

Fuyumine Nobu / Ivon Rhyer Reinhardt

• Earth arts practitioner
• Architecture student at the local university
• Proficient in dual swords wielding
• He has the ability to communicate with any living things around him, particularly animals and plants.
• Revealed to be a member of the Northern Arictocratic Family, the House of Reinhardt
• As Nobu, he was born with brown black hair and silver eyes.
• As Ivon, he was born with mahogany brown hair and red eyes which was believed to have been inherited from his ancestor and Shinou’s adopted sister Lady Yunsoo. In his normal disguise especially when he seldom venture the human lands, he uses a glamouring spell that turns his hair blue green and without changes to his eye color.
• A descendant and had inherited the memories of one of the six legendary founders of the Kingdom of Esovia, the first Earth Bear Knight Lady Yunsoo of the Min clan
• His Beast Spirit was Green Bear Of The Earth given the name Geo
• The curse that his power bears, once it has taken effect, affects the functions of his right arm which usually delivers his devastating punches and blows, making him rely solely to his left hand when fighting by turning his dual sword into a naginata-like weapon and inputting the strength that his right arm usually delivers to his choice of weapon.

Hanz Erehalt Kaiser

• Sound manipulation arts practitioner
• An elite member of the Western Aristocratic Family, the House of Kaiser
• Proficient in knife throwing
• He has the ability to change his voice without any aid of a voice-changing device, making him efficient for undercover missions requiring disguises.
• He was born with purple hair and green eyes which was believed to have been inherited from his ancestor Lord Taewon. In his normal disguise especially when he venture the human lands which only happens rarely, he uses a glamouring spell that turns his hair dark gray and without changes to his eye color.
• A descendant and had inherited the memories of one of the six legendary founders of the Kingdom of Esovia, the first Sound Wolf Knight Lord Taewon of the Ryo clan
• His Beast Spirit was the Silver Wolf Of The Sounds given the name Myrios
• The curse that his power bears, once it has taken effect, affects his vocal cords and his eardrums, losing his ability to speak and hear. Even so, during combat with him in this situation, he relies more on his eyesight which usually sees the flow of the invisible soundwaves produced and feeling his surroundings for him to deliver his attacks.
