VESPIRIA: A MAGICAL DIMENSION OF 3 WORLDS AND 7 LANDS

I know. And I guess it just fits. Anyway, this was originally conceptualized way back 2004 or 2005 pa po back when I was still in second year high school. Hehe! The basic idea of the story remained even though I revised it before. This was inspired by my love for Encantadia. And I was ecstatic when they announced a remake of the said series.

The word “Vespiria” was something I conjured by playing with the words “vessel” and “spirit”. Originally, Vespir lang dapat ang gagamitin kong word kaya lang, I decided to add “-ia” sa huli. This was the word na nabuo ko nang maisipan kong gawan ng Filipino version ang Super Sentai story na sinusulat ko. Until I decided not to pursue that dahil ayoko nang pahirapan ang sarili ko. Noong una, Farhallia pa ang ginamit ko as the name of the magical dimension.

Vespiria is a dimension where three worlds and 7 special lands float. It’s a dimension that exists in the vast universe but can never be seen by anyone. A dimension where magic exists. In this dimension, three worlds float where three different races thrive in each of it. The world of fairies (diwata) is called Symphonia where it has four kingdoms—each representing the 4 classical elements. The world of enchanters and wizards (collectively called engkantado) is called Avernus. Like Symphonia, this world has four kingdoms, as well. But in each kingdom, there are two divisions that occurred because of a conflict eons ago. The third world, the world of sorcerers (salamangkero) is called Orcus. Unlike the first two worlds mentioned, Orcus has only 3 kingdoms. But each kingdoms could display powers that are separate from the diwata and engkantado.

Vespiria is also where the seven magical lands float. These lands are, in a way, special. But creatures of each land were given certain tasks that no one had ever managed to defy. These lands were Regulus (land of the giants), Castalia (land of the mermaids), Corvus (land of the winged horses or pegasi), Mensa (land of the centaurs), Cygnus (land of the taong lawin), Oradea (land of the nymphs), and Velka (land of the elves). Each land holds extremely important and special items given to them by the god of Vespiria, Omnibus, to be protected. These items can only be obtained by those who passed their trials. So far, no one managed to pass since they were extremely hard.

The three worlds and seven lands all revolved around Earth, the world of the mortals. So in a way, Earth is a part of Vespiria. But the aforementioned worlds were concealed and only creatures with amazing magical powers could tear that concealing “veil” which separated Earth from the other worlds of Vespiria. Only a few had managed to do such taxing ability.

But anyway, I love what I’m doing. Fantasy stories kept my imagination alive and it’s the world where I’m free. I can be anyone or anything.

Just try to understand na lang. Hehe!
